Collaborative energy: Microgrids
Self-consumption of clean energy is already a reality and is gaining strength. Eseki is the pioneer company in successfully launching this type of installations with its projects in Lizarraga-Ergoiena and Garralda.
More quality of supply
Savings in the bill
Less dependency on the network
Control of consumption peaks
Bidirectional electricity generation system
Allowing the distribution of electricity from suppliers to consumers, using digital technology and favoring the integration of renewable generation sources, with the aim of saving energy, reducing costs and increasing reliability.

Is an energy community the same as a microgrid?
Although they have an equal and necessary shared area, a microgrid and an energy community are not the same thing.
A microgrid is an energy generation, management and consumption system, while an energy community is a group of people and/or public or private entities that constitute a group that is practically isolated from the general grid and that produce, manage and consume their own energy, generated by the microgrid. Therefore, an energy community is a concept that encompasses not just technical facets but many others, such as the social, legal or economic aspects.
